Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
KOHLER ATS
Available from 30 to 4,000 amperes, KOHLER’s automatic transfer switches sense when voltage from the utility or other normal power source drops below a preset minimum. The ATS signals the emergency generator to start and then transfers the required load to the generator. When the original electrical power source is restored, the ATS will retransfer the load to normal power and shut down the generator. Configurations to meet varying applications are available.

DECISION-MAKER® CONTROLLERS
Decision-Maker® controllers are KOHLER-designed and factory-tested – from basic controls to multiple generators running in parallel.
Once you experience a KOHLER generator controller, there’s no going back. Every controller works seamlessly with our automatic transfer switches and paralleling switchgear for complete system integration:
- Our controllers are tested and approved to meet NFPA, UL and CE standards
KOHLER controls deliver precise voltage regulation (.05%–0.25%). - Every controller includes serial Modbus and has the option for ethernet.
- Our controllers feature advanced network communications for remote monitoring, as well as adjustable parameters.
- Alternator protection technology protects the alternator from thermal overload.
