Description
Thank you for looking.
This item belonged to my great-grandfather.
It has been stored in a dark place at home, so I am listing it for sale.

Minoru Fukuoka is a pioneer in Charango performance and production in Japan, and the founder of Andes no Ie Bolivia, a center for folklore in Kodaira City, Tokyo.

One of Japan's First Charango Players: Active since the early days of the folklore boom in Japan in the 1970s, he is considered one of the first people in Japan to play the Charango.
Apprenticeship in Bolivia: In 1976, he traveled to Bolivia and apprenticed at the workshop of master craftsman Rene Gamboa in Cochabamba. There, he learned the fundamental techniques of making Charangos using wood and quirquinchos (armadillo shells).
Production and Promotion: He emphasized not only his perspective as a performer but also as a craftsman. After returning to Japan, he worked in his own workshop, producing instruments while striving to promote Andean music.
