Vintage Hand-Carved Swiss Tobacco Pipe with Edelweiss Brass Inlay

Hand-carved wooden tobacco pipe in an acorn form with a hinged metal lid. Brass edelweiss flower inlay set into the bowl exterior. Carved from a single piece of brown-toned wood with visible grain throughout. Gently used. Minor surface scratches on the wood and patina on the brass components. Both are consistent with age and do not affect function. Maker is unknown. Piece has the construction quality of a European folk craft or Alpine tourist trade pipe, likely mid-20th century.
