Huawei SIM-Free Wi-Fi Router Pre-configured for Rakuten UN-LIMIT

This is a SIM-free Wi-Fi router, the Huawei Pocket Wifi GL04P, which can be used with Rakuten Mobile UN-LIMIT (Band 3).

Size: Approx. 102(W) x 66(H) x 14.5(D) mm
Weight: Approx. 140g (with battery)
Continuous communication time: Approx. 10 hours

The service area for UN-LIMIT (Band 3) is limited, and outside of this area, it will connect to au's roaming area (Band 18). However, even within the UN-LIMIT area, it often communicates using au's (Band 18) signal.

This is because even within the UN-LIMIT (Band 3) area, if there is a location with good quality au (Band 18) signal, the device will select the au (Band 18) signal. *Mobile phones select the signal with better quality.

The number of au base stations is overwhelmingly larger than that of UN-LIMIT, and the frequency used is easier to penetrate indoors, so it is unlikely to improve in the future.

If you use 5GB of data on au (Band 18), you will enter the throttling mode (1Mbps). It is inconvenient to communicate in throttling mode when you are within the UN-LIMIT area.

The Huawei Pocket Wifi GL04P is a SIM-free router dedicated to Band 3 and only connects to UN-LIMIT signals. Therefore, you can use it within the UN-LIMIT area without worrying about the 5GB data limit or the throttling mode (1Mbps).

It is pre-configured for Rakuten Mobile UN-LIMIT. You can use it immediately by inserting a Rakuten Mobile UN-LIMIT SIM card (standard SIM size).

Furthermore, since it is SIM-free, you can also use it with docomo line MVNOs by changing the settings. *This is done via a settings tool connected to the Wi-Fi from a computer.

Regarding the Wi-Fi password, if you have a preferred password, we can change the settings before shipping.

Due to shipping restrictions of 3cm in thickness, the product will be shipped without its original box, with only the main unit.

A charger is not included, but you can use a smartphone charger, so please use one you already own.

As this is a used item, there may be minor scratches and scuffs from use. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such imperfections.

Thank you.
