Description
Vintage scrimshaw-style etching on cultured marble features a majestic bald eagle in flight against a backdrop of Alaskan mountains. Created by artist Bill Devine for The Alaska Mint in 1981, this Kiana piece showcases intricate hand-etched detail on a crystalline surface. The artwork is professionally mounted on a brown velvet-textured mat and housed in a classic oak wood frame with gold-tone accents. A commemorative brass plaque at the bottom honors Dan & Alice Anne Barge from the Alaska Section, dated February 1986. The reverse includes the original artist biography and Kiana authenticity label, complete with a built-in sawtooth hanger for easy wall mounting.
