Antique Ornate Oval Gesso Frame Ivory Gilded Highlights Hand Tinted Photo 1920s

Hand tinted, soft focus, studio tight photo.  This is a beautiful, large vintage ornate oval picture frame, approximately 16 x 13 featuring a heavily molded design. The frame is made of plaster or gesso (composition material) over a wood base.  It comes complete with its original flat glass, backing, and a charming period portrait—likely a hand-colored photo or print of a young woman from the 1920s or 1930s.  ⚠️ Condition - AS IS  Please Note: This frame is in its original vintage condition and shows significant signs of age, consistent with the fragile nature of composition frames.  • Chips and Cracks: There are multiple surface cracks and chips along the decorative outer edge, which are clearly visible in the close-up photos (see Detail Image). The plaster/gesso material is fragile, and the chips expose the material underneath.  • Finish Wear: The finish is a distressed cream/ivory color with touches of gold highlighting. There is gilding wear throughout, revealing the darker plaster/base in areas.  • Portrait/Glass: The portrait appears to have some fading and signs of age.
