Antique Butcher Honing Steel Wood Handle Iron Ring Knife Sharpener Vintage Tool

A proper antique honing steel — the kind that hung in a butcher's shop or farmhouse kitchen for decades before finding its way to you. Carbon steel rod, turned wooden handle, metal bolster, and an iron hanging ring. Deep patina on the rod. The wood has the warm worn look of a tool that was actually used. Early-to-mid 20th century, possibly earlier. Measures 17.5 from hook to tip. Handle alone is 5.25. Still fully functional as a knife honing tool — or display it as the piece of working history it is. Hang it in the kitchen, the bar, the butcher-block styled pantry. Dark academia, rustic farmhouse, or French country kitchen — it belongs in all of them. Ships within 1–3 business days, carefully wrapped. Every piece has a past. Find yours. — Sarah / The Storied House Co.
