This is a cellulose granular medium that enables both anaerobic and aerobic denitrification.
It has been announced that it makes the decomposition of nitrates possible even in aerobic environments, which was previously thought to be possible only in anaerobic environments.

This is a biodegradable cellulose granular medium. Please place it in areas with water flow, such as inside filters.
Its light specific gravity allows it to circulate well even in fluidized filters.
The recommended dosage is 20g per 100L, but adjust the amount based on your specific usage environment.

The previous Visco Pearl has been renamed Visco Pearl A.
The product listed here is Visco Pearl P.

Visco Pearl A: Bulk density 0.1g/ml, Non-interconnected pore structure, 100 grams ? 1000ml, Decomposes quickly.
Visco Pearl P: Bulk density 0.3g/ml, Interconnected pore structure, 100 grams ? 333ml, Decomposes slowly, lasts longer between replacements, and requires less installation space.
According to materials published by Rengo, both A and P types show no difference in denitrification performance.

Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater (please rinse lightly before use).
Decomposition begins on the 3rd day after adding to aquarium water.
As it decomposes slowly, it provides a stable carbon source with no fluctuations in water concentration, unlike liquid carbon sources. It is easy and safe to use as it does not require daily addition.

A rapid increase in bacteria may occur due to the increased carbon source. In such cases, reduce the usage amount or use a protein skimmer.
