Sowing
Echinacea sowing season:
March - May
September - October

Note:
♦ When growing from seed, there will be individual differences in petal coloration.
The colors may differ from the Green Twister photos in my garden.

Lightly cover the seeds with soil. Once the seedlings have developed 5 or more true leaves and are growing strongly, transplant them into your garden or pots.

Echinacea seeds
Only a limited number of varieties will produce the same flower when grown from seed.
Double-flowered Echinacea seeds often come from highly cultivated varieties. They may revert to their ancestral form, producing single flowers with entirely different appearances or colors.
For double-flowered Echinacea, it is safer to purchase established plants propagated by division.
We do not recommend purchasing seeds for double-flowered Echinacea.
Green Twister is a variety that can be grown from seed.
