Late Edo Period Old Imari Tako Karakusa Pattern Soba Choko 2-Piece Set Indigo Dyeing Fu Ki Chō Shun Antiques
Product Description:
This is a set of two antique Ko-Imari soba cups, dating from the late Edo period (late 18th to early 19th century).
The design is Tako Karakusa Mon (octopus vine pattern), which is highly popular among Ko-Imari ware and has been loved across generations.
The powerful and intricate brushwork by the artisan is superb, and the cobalt blue coloring is exceptionally beautiful.
The bottom of each cup is inscribed with the auspicious characters 富貴長春 (Fuki Choshun), wishing for wealth and longevity.
