Hot Pot Dipping Bowls and Soy Sauce Dishes Set (5 each)
Although the days are still warm, the mornings and evenings have become a bit chilly, and we can feel the arrival of autumn.
When it gets cold, hot pot dishes become a regular feature on our dining table. We just throw in various ingredients into the pot. If it's seafood, it creates a broth, and for ingredients that don't release much broth, we eat them with ponzu sauce. Hot pot really requires no fuss.
Memories of Hot Pot
When public paving work was being done on the narrow road in front of the house where I used to live, and the construction finally reached our house (fields in front, mountains behind, farmland on both sides, and a distant neighbor's house next to the farmland), the elderly lady from next door came over and said, They're doing construction for you, so bring them some tea!
I thought, What is she talking about? (`_′) But being young, I served tea at 10 AM and 3 PM.
However, the construction workers were very kind men who had come from Hokkaido to work. I was thanked, and I felt glad that I had served them tea.
It was then that they taught me how to make a simple Ishikari hot pot with large chunks of salmon, potatoes, carrots, and tofu, seasoned with miso.
But you know...
That old lady herself didn't offer any tea!!
