Ant Farm Gypsum Breeding Case (with Humidification Function) + Feeding Area Case

This is a plaster breeding case for ant keeping.
It can be used for breeding various ants, including the Black Carpenter Ant (Oomori-ari) and the Red Wood Ant (Muneaka-oomori). You can also humidify it through the hole on the back.

Since plaster is used, ants may scrape away the plaster if they use the case for a long time. While I have not observed this behavior with the ants I keep, if it does occur, connecting a new nest may resolve the issue.

The lid can be removed, but please be sure to secure it with tape when in use.

Although each item is carefully crafted with care, please note that handmade items may have air bubbles or scratches.
We ask that only those who understand the warmth of handmade items purchase this product. Also, there is a gap between the lid and the case, but the plaster and lid are in close contact, so there is no need to worry about ants escaping.
Please ensure that the lid and plaster are in close contact before use.

When humidifying, be careful not to pour too much water at once, as it may cause the plaster to expand and lead to damage to the case.

Also, please be aware that touching the plaster directly with your hands may cause mold to grow. Mold will inevitably occur during use. If the number of worker ants is sufficient for the size of the nest, it is not a problem, but if the number is small, a large amount of mold may develop.

Normally, ants clean their nests, but if the nest is stored in a humid place during periods when no ants are living in it, a large amount of mold may develop. Please be mindful of storage locations.

If humidification is insufficient, there is a risk of all ants dying.

We have not tested this case with extremely small ants such as the Japanese Carpenter Ant (Hime-ari), so we recommend it for ants the size of the Black Carpenter Ant (Oomori-ari).
