This is a diamond file, also known as a trowel file (kote yasuri). It is electroplated with diamond abrasive grains and is suitable for polishing hard materials such as ceramics, glass, and cemented carbide. It is mainly used for fine deburring work in model making (plastic model modification), mold repair, and jewelry making. Its special shape allows it to polish recessed areas and curved surfaces that are difficult to reach with regular bar files.
