They are exempt from mandatory charges, allowing for free distribution. The bags feature a printed biomass mark and text to highlight their environmental friendliness. The printing ink also uses biomass ink, which incorporates some plant-derived materials.

At ￥3 (tax included) per bag, these are more affordable than purchasing from online retailers or wholesalers.
