For cats and very small dogs, we select and peel the bark from aged, hard branches to create these toys.

Unlike other products, these are not hollowed out, peeled, or shaved, so we've received many happy comments about their hardness and how much dogs take to them!

We've made a set of two, one pearwood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Left: Zelkova, approx. 14.5 x 2.3-2.4 cm (approx. 2.8 cm including small branches)
Right: Pear, approx. 18.2 x 2.1-2.5 cm

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size to your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the nipping phase, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely grasp will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pearwood branches are less likely to have splinters, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
These pearwood branches are peeled one by one and dried for two years in Niigata Prefecture.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file). However, please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.
As they are made of wood, your pet's teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouth. However, please supervise your pet while they play.
Please refrain from use if your pet has fruit allergies.
